For contractors who obtained their general contractor, CMMTQ or CMEQ license before April 1, 2022.
Who is this for?
CONTINUING EDUCATION
As of April 1, 2022, continuing education is mandatory for contractors holding one of the following license subcategories
General Contractor: 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2 and 1.3
Specialty Contractor: 15.1.1, 15.2.1, 15.3.1, 15.4.1 and 15.5.1
Electrical, plumbing and heating contractor: 15.1, 15.2, 15.3, 15.4, 15.5 and 16
General Contractor
1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2 and 1.3
Specialist contractor
15.1.1, 15.2.1, 15.3.1, 15.4.1 and 15.5.1
Electrical, plumbing and heating contractor
15.1, 15.2, 15.3, 15.4, 15.5 and 16
Depending on the number of subcategories held, or the number of licenses held in several subcategories covered by the Regulation, most entrepreneurs will be required to complete 16 hours of training every 2 years.
Some specialty contractors will be required to complete between 24 and 32 hours of continuing education depending on the type of subcategory.
