RBQ preparatory course
a 2 hours course from 350$
This course prepares contractors to carry out groundwater collection work without drilling, such as surface wells, wells in hardpan (gélinite), spring catchments and driven points. You will learn to carry out work that complies with the standards of the Water Withdrawal and Protection Regulation (CQLR, c. Q-2, r. 35.2), administered by the Ministère de l'Environnement. Essential for those who want to specialize in installing and rehabilitating water supply systems, this course will give you the skills you need to ensure the quality, safety and durability of non-drilled water collection works anywhere in Quebec.
The module is divided into four main themes assessed in the RBQ's 3-hour exam for subcategory 2.2:

2.2 - Non-drilled water intake works contractor
Subcategory 2.2 (Contractor for non-drilled water intake works) is a specialized contractor licence. It authorizes construction work related to non-drilled water intake works such as surface wells and spring catchments, as well as similar or related construction work.
To obtain this licence, the future guarantor must pass the common core exams (Administration, Job Site Safety Management, Project and Job Site Management) as well as the specific Execution of Construction Work (ETC) exam for subcategory 2.2.
This licence notably authorizes work related to gelinite wells, dug surface wells with suction, well points and the sealing (plugging) of wells. Note, however, that the installation of pumping systems requires subcategory 2.3.
The RBQ execution of construction work exam, which lasts 3 hours, is divided into four main assessment themes:
