rbqlicence.com and the Groupe GSC application
1. Who we are
The rbqlicence.com website (the "Site") and the Groupe GSC mobile application (the "Application") are operated by Gestion Solution Construction inc. ("GSC", "we", "us"), whose head office is located at 4455 Autoroute 440, Suite 295, Laval, Quebec H7P 4W6.
For any question about these terms:
The Site and the Application are referred to together as the "Platform".
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy. The Community Guidelines form an integral part of these terms.
If you purchase a membership, a training course or another service, the General Terms of Sale also apply.
If you do not accept these terms, do not use the Platform.
3. Eligibility and account
To create an account, you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
- use your own identity.
An account is personal. It belongs to a single natural person and may not be shared or transferred. A business that wishes to be present on the Platform does so through the personal account of its representative.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account. Notify us without delay if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Services offered
Depending on the version, the Platform gives access to the following features:
- a feed of posts, themed groups and a questions-and-answers space;
- private messaging between members;
- directories: Partners, Subcontractors and Marketplace;
- training courses;
- tools: documents, calculators and Le Contremaître, a conversational assistant.
Access to the Platform is currently free. Some services, such as training courses and the member subscription, are paid and sold on the Site under the General Terms of Sale. GSC may modify, add or remove features, and make currently free features paid, without notice.
5. Your content
You are responsible for everything you publish on the Platform: posts, comments, photos, videos, messages, directory listings, profile (your "Content").
You keep your rights to your Content. By publishing it, you grant GSC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, display and technically adapt it to the extent necessary for the operation, display and moderation of the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, except for copies kept in backups for the period set out in the Privacy Policy and for Content already shared or reused by other members.
You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to your Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Content published in the feed, groups, the questions-and-answers space and the directories is visible to other users. The Privacy Policy specifies what is visible and to whom.
GSC does not review Content before publication, except through the moderation mechanisms described in the Community Guidelines. GSC may remove any Content that breaches these terms or the Community Guidelines.
6. Directories
Partners. The offers in the Partners directory come from businesses bound to GSC by a partnership agreement. Each partner is responsible for its offers, their conditions and their fulfilment. GSC does not sell the partners' products or services and is not a party to the transactions concluded with them.
Subcontractors and Marketplace. The listings in these directories are published by members. GSC does not verify their accuracy, the qualifications, the holding of an RBQ licence, or the quality of the goods and services offered. GSC acts solely as a technical intermediary. Any transaction between members is concluded under their sole responsibility. Before entrusting work to a contractor, verify the validity of their licence with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
7. Le Contremaître and the calculators
Le Contremaître is a conversational assistant developed by GSC and based on an artificial intelligence model provided by a third party. It can answer questions about construction regulations, guide you through the Platform and toward partners, and perform certain actions in your account at your request.
Its answers are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. They do not constitute professional, legal or technical advice and do not replace official texts, in particular the Quebec Construction Code and the documents of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. You remain responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.
Actions performed by Le Contremaître in your account are carried out on your instruction and under your responsibility.
The calculators are support tools provided for guidance only. Their results depend on the data you enter. They do not replace the calculations of a professional.
The processing of your exchanges with Le Contremaître is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Training courses
Training courses are offered on the Site or through the Lära learning platform. The purchase of and access to training courses are governed by the General Terms of Sale. Access to a course is personal and may not be shared.
Certificates issued at the end of a course only confirm that you have completed it. They do not guarantee that you will obtain a licence, a qualification or a result from any organization, including the RBQ.
9. GSC's intellectual property
The Platform, its code, its design, its trademarks, its texts, its training courses, its documents and its tools belong to GSC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your access gives you a personal, non-exclusive right of use, limited to normal use of the Platform. Any reproduction, distribution or commercial exploitation without written authorization is prohibited.
10. Prohibited uses
It is prohibited to:
- use the Platform for illegal purposes or in breach of the Community Guidelines;
- create multiple accounts, impersonate someone or provide false information;
- extract data from the Platform by automated means (scraping) or compile lists of members;
- circumvent security measures, probe for vulnerabilities or disrupt the operation of the Platform;
- decompile or reverse engineer the Application;
- resell or redistribute access to the Platform, the training courses or the tools;
- use Le Contremaître to generate illegal content or to attempt to circumvent its restrictions.
11. Account suspension and closure
By you. You may delete your account at any time from the Application settings. Deletion is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy. Purchased training courses and order history are kept as provided there.
By GSC. GSC may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, in the event of a breach of these terms or the Community Guidelines, a risk to the security of the Platform or its users, or a legal requirement. Suspension without notice is reserved for serious or urgent cases.
You will be informed of the measure taken and its reason. You may contest it by writing to . Your request will be reviewed by a person at GSC within 10 business days.
Closing an account does not entitle you to any refund of paid services, except as provided by the General Terms of Sale or the law.
12. Availability of the Platform
GSC makes reasonable efforts to keep the Platform accessible, without any guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. GSC may modify or discontinue all or part of the Platform.
13. Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, GSC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of information published by members or partners or generated by Le Contremaître, and is not liable for:
- Content published by members or transactions concluded between members or with partners;
- decisions made in reliance on information, answers or results obtained through the Platform;
- indirect damages, including loss of profits, contracts or data.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the Consumer Protection Act or any other law of public order, nor GSC's liability for its intentional or gross fault.
14. Personal information
The collection and use of your personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes
GSC may change these terms. Material changes, meaning those that affect your rights, your obligations or the services offered, are communicated to you through the Platform or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Minor changes, such as corrections, clarifications or updates to contact details, are published on the Platform without notice. Using the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance. If you refuse a material change, you may delete your account.
16. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec. Subject to provisions of public order, any dispute is submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Laval.
These terms are written in French. The English version is provided for convenience. In the event of a discrepancy, the French version prevails.
