Gestion Solution Construction inc.: rbqlicence.com and the Groupe GSC mobile application
Who we are
Gestion Solution Construction inc. ("GSC", "we", "us") operates the rbqlicence.com website and the Groupe GSC mobile application. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, with whom we share it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
It is governed by Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
The companies concerned. GSC brings together three separate companies, which operate four offices:
- Gestion Solution Construction inc., Laval and Brossard offices
- Gestion Solution Construction Québec inc., Québec City office
- Gestion Solution Construction Gatineau inc., Gatineau office
The platform is operated by Gestion Solution Construction inc. When you do business with the Québec City or Gatineau office, your information is processed by the corresponding company, and may be shared between these companies only to the extent necessary for your file.
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Alex Bachand, General Manager
Gestion Solution Construction inc., 4455 Autoroute 440, Suite 295, Laval, Quebec H7P 4W6
Any question, access request or complaint may be addressed to him directly, for any of the three companies.
2. What we collect
Account creation
First name, last name, email address and password. Your email address is verified by a code before the account is activated. We keep proof of your consent to this policy, with its date.
Profile
You may add at any time: nickname, photo, title or trade, company, city, RBQ licence number, bio, links to your social networks, date of birth, gender and phone number. These fields are optional and you can edit or remove them yourself.
What you publish
Posts, comments, polls, questions and answers, directory listings, private messages, photos and videos.
Assistant
Your exchanges with the built-in assistant, as well as the city you give it so it can suggest relevant results.
Notifications
Your device identifier for notifications, preferences by notification type. If you enable SMS, your phone number, verified by code.
Mobile application
With your permission, your approximate location is used only to centre the directory map and find the nearest branch. It is neither stored nor transmitted to anyone: it stays on your device for the duration of the session. You can refuse or withdraw it in your device settings.
The application's error reports (device model, version, technical details of the problem) are sent to our diagnostic tool. They contain nothing you have written.
The application contains no advertising tool and does not track your activity outside of it.
Website forms
Last name, first name, email, phone, branch and message. This data is used to answer your request. When you send an information request, or when you start paying for an order (when you click the payment button, before the payment is confirmed), we also attach where your visit came from (see section 11, "Where your visit came from"), for statistical purposes. If the payment does not go through, this information stays attached to the unpaid order.
RBQ licence support
Support for obtaining an RBQ licence takes place outside the platform. The information and documents you give us in that context are governed by the service contract and the forms you sign with us, and are not entered into the website or the application.
Your training certificates obtained on the platform may be attached to your licence file, with your authorization. Mandatory continuing education certificates follow a different rule, described below.
Training courses
Your progress, your results and your certificates. This information is strictly private: no other member has access to it.
Some of our training courses are offered on the Lära platform, which receives your name, your email address and your progress.
Mandatory continuing education. When you complete a mandatory continuing education course, your certificate is sent automatically to the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. This transmission is part of the service: it is what allows the Régie to see that you have met your obligation. It takes place as soon as the course is completed.
Automatically
IP address, language, and technical connection logs. The IP address is never stored by our audience measurement: it is only used to limit abuse.
3. Why we use it
- To give you access to your account and the services
- To run the directory, the community, messaging and the training courses
- To send you the notifications you have chosen
- To moderate public content and enforce the guidelines
- To answer your requests
- To improve our services
- To send you our commercial communications, if you have consented to them
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations
We do not use your information for any other purpose.
4. What other members can see
Nothing is visible to the general public: the directory and profiles are accessible only to logged-in members and are not indexed by search engines.
Visible to logged-in members: your name, your photo, your company, your title or trade, your bio, your city, your RBQ licence number and your membership date.
Never visible: your email address, your date of birth, your phone number and your gender.
What you publish is visible according to the setting chosen at the time of publication.
Your listings. When you publish a listing in the directory or the marketplace, the contact details you enter in it (phone, email, address) become visible to all members. You choose what you put in it, and you can remove the listing at any time.
No directory listing is created without the request of the person or business concerned.
5. Automated moderation
The content you publish publicly, namely posts, comments, questions, listings and their photos, is analyzed automatically before going online. The analysis combines internal rules and an artificial intelligence tool provided by Anthropic. It may block content without human intervention.
Your private messages are not analyzed by artificial intelligence. Only internal automatic rules apply to them.
If content is blocked, we inform you and tell you the reason. You may ask that a person on our team review the decision, and present your observations to them. You may also ask us which information was used and have any inaccurate information corrected.
6. With whom we share it
We do not sell or rent your information. We use the following providers, solely for what is indicated:
- Rapidenet Canada (Montreal): hosting of the website, the application and the database
- Cloudflare (US company, global network): video storage and delivery
- Anthropic (United States): moderation of public content, built-in assistant

A few clarifications:
Payments. Your card details are entered directly with our payment provider and never pass through our servers. We keep only the amount, the date and a transaction identifier.
Notifications. When you receive a notification for a new message, an excerpt of the message appears in it. That excerpt therefore passes through the notification or SMS provider. You can disable these channels in your preferences.
Artificial intelligence. Public content and its images are sent to Anthropic for moderation purposes, as are your exchanges with the assistant.
The platform also includes accounts run by artificial intelligence, identified as such, which take part in discussions. When one of these accounts reacts to a post, its content is sent to Anthropic without your name.
Régie du bâtiment du Québec. Mandatory continuing education certificates are sent to it automatically as soon as the course is completed, since that is the very purpose of the course. As part of licence support, we also send it the information and documents required by your licence application, with your authorization.
We may also disclose information when the law requires us to.
The website, the application and their database are hosted in Quebec. Some information is nevertheless processed or stored outside Quebec by our providers: your customer record in our customer relationship management system, hosted in the United States, and the videos you publish, delivered by a global network to ensure smooth playback. Before using a provider located outside Quebec, we assess the protection offered and frame it by contract, as required by Law 25.
7. Partners
We work with partners who offer complementary services to our members. Your information is never sent to them by default. Opening an account, taking a course or using the application does not result in any disclosure to a partner.
A disclosure occurs in only two cases: you request a specific service that is performed by a partner, or you expressly authorize us to put you in touch with them. In that case, only the information necessary for that service is sent.
Our current partners:
- RONA: discounts offered to members
- GoLexGo inc.: legal services and incorporation
- Trio cabinet comptable: accounting services
- Agrea CPA inc.: accounting services
- Vincent Bolduc Services financiers: financial services
- MP2B Assurances: insurance
- Exode Architecte inc.: architectural services
8. Security
Exchanges are encrypted. Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it. The files you upload are accessible only through protected links.
Backups are encrypted and kept in Canada. Deleted data may remain in them until they expire.
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned. We keep a register of all incidents.
9. How long we keep it

- Deleted account: immediate anonymization
- Orders and invoices: 7 years (tax obligation)
- Proof of consent: kept with no time limit

- RBQ licence support files: outside the platform, governed by your service contract
- Training courses and certificates: kept without time limit, including after account deletion
- Job applications: destroyed as soon as an application is not retained
10. Commercial communications
Our newsletter and promotional communications are sent to you only if you have consented to them, separately from your membership. You may withdraw this consent at any time, and every email contains an unsubscribe link that works without logging in.
Notifications related to the operation of your account are not commercial communications; you manage them in your preferences.
11. Cookies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to work, remember your preferences or measure its audience.
Analytics and marketing tools are enabled only with your consent. You give it through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change it at any time. Three tools run without this consent: our own audience measurement, without cookies, where your visit came from, kept in the page's memory without writing anything on your device, and ClickCease, loaded only when you arrive through one of our Google Ads ads, described below.
Analytics and marketing tools are loaded by Google Tag Manager, which serves as a container, only after your consent.
- Essential: necessary for the site to work, always active. Among other things, they remember your session and your cookie choices.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to measure audience; CallRail, to know where the calls we receive come from and how long they last.
- Marketing: Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising and TikTok, to measure our advertising campaigns.
- Third-party content: the interactive Google Maps map on the Contact us page, which sets its own cookies, loaded only with your consent to this category. Without this consent, the page shows a still image of the map in its place, served by our site, with a link to Google Maps.
ClickCease. ClickCease is loaded only when you arrive on the site by clicking one of our Google Ads ads (the page address then carries the identifier of that click), without any consent condition. It is not loaded on any other arrival. Once loaded, it stays active for the rest of that visit, as long as you move from page to page on the site without reloading the page or opening a new tab. It is used to detect fraudulent or automated clicks on our Google Ads ads.
Our audience measurement. The site measures its own audience, on our servers, without using a third party. It records pages viewed, where the visit came from (referring site, advertising campaign), the device class (mobile, tablet, computer), only with your consent to analytics cookies, and events such as submitting a form, clicking a phone number or making a purchase. Bots are ignored.
- Without your consent to analytics cookies, nothing is written on your device for this measurement (no cookie, no browser storage) and your visit is not recognized: each page view or event is recorded on its own, with no identifier, without your IP address or your device characteristics. Where your arrival came from (referring site reduced to its domain, landing page, advertising campaign) is recorded the same way, without any ad click identifier. The page also receives a random code, kept in memory only, without writing it on your device, of which we keep an irreversible fingerprint with this origin, to link it to your journey if you consent within half an hour. This data is only used for totals (visits per source, page views, add-to-cart), except this code, used only for that link.
- With your consent to analytics cookies, a cookie named gsc_vid recognizes you from one visit to the next, which lets us see your journey on the site, including where each visit came from, with the ad click identifier and the referring page if there are any. It expires after 395 days and is never extended. If you withdraw this consent, the cookie is deleted on the next page.
- If you give this consent during your visit, within half an hour of your arrival and without reloading the page or opening a new tab, where that arrival came from, already recorded with no identifier, can be linked to your journey, with the ad click identifier if there is one; the pages viewed before your consent stay with no identifier. For this link, the page sends back the random code described above; its fingerprint is erased once the link is made. A fingerprint never used stays with the origin recorded with no identifier.
App download link. The link that leads to the app in the App Store or Google Play (for example through a QR code) is not part of the site's audience measurement and does not depend on any consent. For each click, we keep the date, the device family (iOS, Android or other), the destination you are sent to, the campaign parameters of the link (UTM) and, if there is one, the page you came from, reduced to its domain and path. No cookie is placed, and neither your IP address, nor your browser's characteristics, nor any identifier is kept. This data is used to measure our campaigns.
Where your visit came from. During your visit, the page keeps in memory, without writing anything on your device, where your arrival on the site came from (for example: a Google search, an ad, a link on another site) and its date, as well as the ad click identifier, if there is one (for example Google's or Meta's). This memory is lost when you reload the page, open a new tab or leave the site. Without your consent to analytics cookies, this origin is recorded with the click identifier only with an information request or when you start paying for an order (when you click the payment button, before the payment is confirmed); with this consent, it is recorded from your arrival or at the link described above, to measure which sources lead to requests and sales; it is not used to profile or solicit you. Without your consent to analytics cookies, the request or purchase is counted with this origin, without any visitor identifier. With this consent, the request or purchase is also linked to your journey, which includes where your earlier visits came from. If the payment does not go through, the origin stays attached to the order created and is kept with it.
Record of your choices. When you make or change a choice in the banner, including to withdraw a consent, and your browser succeeds in sending it to us, we record, so that we can prove that choice, the random consent ID shown in your preferences, the type of choice (first choice, change or withdrawal), whether you accepted or refused each cookie category offered as a choice, the version of the banner and that of this policy, the display language, and the date and time, without your IP address or any other information, and we keep this record with no time limit.
Changing your choices. The preferences button, available at the bottom of every page, lets you revisit your decision at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which may affect how the site works.
Duration. Essential cookies expire at the end of your session or after a few months. The gsc_vid cookie expires after 395 days. The others expire according to the durations set by each provider, generally 12 to 24 months.
The mobile application contains none of these tools.
12. Your rights
You may:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
- Delete your account, directly in the application or on the website
- Withdraw your consent to commercial communications or cookies
- Obtain a copy of the information you have provided to us, in a structured format
- File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec
Write to the person named in section 1. We reply within 30 days.
What deleting your account entails. Your profile fields, your photo, your posts, your comments, your photos, your conversations with the assistant, your group memberships and your preferences are deleted. Your listings are removed and the contact details they contained are erased. All your sessions are closed and your notification subscriptions are cancelled.
Some items are not deleted, but are dissociated from your identity or kept for a specific reason. Your questions and answers in the forums remain, without your name, so as not to break the discussions other members took part in. The messages you sent remain visible to their recipients, under an anonymous label, because they belong to them too; the photos you sent in them are deleted. Finally, we keep your invoices for the period required by law, a record of the moderation decisions concerning you, and proof of your consent.
Your training courses and certificates are kept even after your account is deleted. Your certificates remain the proof of the courses you have completed and may be useful to you in your dealings with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
13. Changes
We may change this policy. The update date appears at the top of the page. In the event of a material change, we will inform you.
